“I love the way the texture, shape & colour of glass manipulates light, and how light itself brings glass to life.”
This is me,
Penelope (Penny) Elliott.
I‘ve been an artist for most of my life, both commercially & recreationally.
In 2008 I became thoroughly enchanted, and only slightly addicted, to using glass as a medium for art.
As soon as I started working with glass , I knew I wanted to learn and do more. Now, working from my home-built studio, I employ a mixture of stained glass techniques that include both traditional leadlight & the Tiffany foiling methods… as well as a few of my own tricks.
I love experimenting with the colours and textures of glass, antique or modern, to create deep, detailed, & often complex bespoke pieces.
The scale & scope of the work produced from my studio ranges from designing bespoke commissions alongside clients, to experimenting with & developing new small or large scale concepts, to creating one off pieces to sell at a multitude of local artisan markets.
…I also love teaching this time honoured skill to anyone willing through my monthly Possums Run Studio Workshops!
So reach out! Send an email, give me a call, or just pop by for a visit.
…Best give me a shout that you’re coming though so I can put the kettle on!
